On Tuesday night (September 20, 2016), SmackDown Live stopped in Birmingham, Alabama where Alexa Bliss went on Godzilla on Becky Lynch by dumping a table on the champion during the contract signing. The Usos took on American Alpha with the winner going to No Mercy to face Heath Slater and Rhyno. Focusing on Gable’s still injured leg, the Usos were able to separate and conquer as they got the big win against AA. With a lot of more attitude The Usos have channeled their anger into wins, can they get one more to get the tag titles?
Plus, John Cena takes on Ambrose in the main event, which somewhat surprisingly Ambrose was able to win clean via a quick pin. Styles decided to show up post-match, laying out Cena and going in to attack Ambrose, as well. Naomi continues to glow in tag team action, and the Miz/Ziggler put on another incredible match with Ziggler coming up short, yet again. Miz did win via that evil spray, so it’s possible these two might wrestling one more time before finally calling an end to this feud (for full coverage on the entire show, check out our review).
