Ric Flair will be returning to WWE TV on a weekly basis, per a PW Insider report.
Ric Flair returned on the November 28 episode of WWE Raw to celebrate with Sasha Banks in the ring. She had just won her third Raw Women’s Championship, and had Flair raise her arm in victory after defeating his daughter, Charlotte. This stems from the Nature Girl’s verbal attack on her father earlier this year.
Well, it seems this appearance from Flair had been the start of more to come. According to PW Insider, he just signed a deal to be part of the Raw brand moving forward. This came together just a few hours before the show went on the air.
By making this deal with Flair so soon, it could mean the title change may have been a last minute decision. That’s only speculation, but given WWE’s history of switching things just hours before they go on the air, this wouldn’t be surprising.
As for the Nature Boy’s role, it didn’t get specified in the report. However, one would think it’s with the women’s division since he appeared after Banks won the title. It could mean he manages the Boss during her third title reign. That would work with what happened on Monday and in the previously noted incident with Charlotte. or he’s part of a larger storyline
On the other hand, maybe he’s part of a larger storyline with the two women. Maybe we’re in for a heel turn with Banks, or he double crosses the champion and realigns with his daughter. That could mean Charlotte wins back the Raw Women’s Championship whenever they face off next in their latest rematch.
So, like it or not, Ric Flair is back on everyone’s TV screens on Monday nights. His role will likely be known by next week’s Raw. Thoughts?
