WWE legend and Houston native Booker T announced on his radio show Heated Conversations Saturday that he plans to run for mayor in his hometown in 2020.

Sylvester Turner was elected mayor of Houston in January, and is serving a four-year term.

Younger fans of WWE may only know Booker T as a commentator, but he’s one of the most accomplished stars in WWE history, and he has an incredible backstory. He was sentenced to five years in prison on aggravated robbery charges in his early 20s, and after being released from prison, Booker and his brother - Stevie Ray - began training as wrestlers and working in local promotions. Within a few years the team had made it to WCW, and Booker went on to become a 21-time champion in WCW, and eventually a World Champion in WWE.
