In a recent interview, Roman Reigns discussed the speculation on The Shield reuniting.

Former Shield member and current United States champion Roman Reigns recently sat with The Inquirer for an interview. Since rumors about a potential Shield reunion are still fresh, Reigns made a comment. He remained casual in his approach but told the fans to never rule out the possibility.

“I would never say never. I think we’re all very happy with where we’re at. It’s going to take something drastic, something huge in the WWE to bring The Shield back. I think nothing’s impossible in the WWE. As we always say, stay tuned.”

The Shield could be considered as the first group of call-ups from the reformatted NXT roster. He also recalled how challenging it was for the trio when they debuted. However, there is no doubt in the fans’ mind that those three instantly clicked. This was a formidable trio that demanded their place in the main event week after week. Six-man tag team matches ruled the main event scene, for the most part, of The Shield’s tenure. Reigns was more than happy to talk about his initial days with the stable in the same interview.

For me, there are times I miss it, the six-man matches were having, the tag team matches, it seemed like were doing it every night with the new cast on the other side, but it’s really good every single time.

For me, that’s a good place to learn and grow and push myself to be ready for the spot I’m in right now. As The Shield, we felt like we dominated the main event and we’re still doing that. We’re very proud of that.”

Two years have passed since the Shield disbanded. Fans still hope to hear that familiar entrance music one more time. The recent rumors spark that interest in fans yet again as both Royal Rumble and Survivor Series approach us.
