Goldberg Comments on WWE Return, Thanks the Fans

After Goldberg returned to WWE TV for the first time in 12 years, he took to Twitter to comment.
On Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, Goldberg returned for the first time in 12 years. The week prior, he had been called out by Paul Heyman. Brock Lesnar wanted to have a match with the former WCW World Champion, so he issued a challenge. It would get accepted, but with no date set yet.
Before answering the challenge, Goldberg received a massive response from the WWE crowd in Denver, CO. From the moment Michael Cole started stalling in the ring, to the entrance music going off, and from everywhere he said. The fans in the arena ate it all up for a moment 12 years in the making.
Goldberg’s return speech had plenty of emotion in it. He probably even cut one of the best promos of his career. He seemed to be loving everything from Monday night, and said so on Twitter earlier Tuesday.
Very humbled by last nights response……. #THANKYOU ????

Seeing the 49-year-old in WWE was a surreal sight. It’s one that may have never been possible without WWE 2K17 rekindling the relationship between the two sides.
We’re now on the path to Lesnar vs. Goldberg at some point, potentially Survivor Series. This has been the rumored date for the match for a few weeks. With all the 5-on-5 Elimination Matches likely taking place, it opens up the main event slot for this WrestleMania XX rematch.
Next Monday’s episode of Raw will see Lesnar return in Minneapolis, MN. It’s possible we could get the match announced there since Survivor Series would be less than one month away. We would then get four weeks of build and have things culminate on Sunday, November 20.
Goldberg is back in WWE and here to stay for the next month. It should be a fun last ride.
