Cody Rhodes is on his way to New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Bullet Club stable, but when will he debut?

Cody Rhodes has made his way around the independent wrestling circuit since leaving WWE in May. This includes stops in PWG, EVOLVE (he’ll be back there this weekend), TNA, and most recently ROH for Final Battle. It has made for a four-month whirlwind for Rhodes who looks to be on his latest venture.

Earlier in the week, we noted a PW Insider report of Rhodes being the newest member of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Bullet Club stable. Member Kenny Omega had teased the announcement for Saturday’s NJPW World Tag League event.

Well, the report came true as Omega introduced the fans to the Bullet Club’s newest addition. He brought in the “American Nightmare”, Cody (“Cody Rhodes” still can’t be used due to trademark issues with WWE) in this promo below, which is some creative and well-done work by the people at NJPW.

From the end of the video, it looks like Cody will be arriving in NJPW for the Wrestle Kingdom 11 event, which takes place on January 4, 2017. He put out his cigar on what looked to be a logo for the show. There hasn’t been an official announcement on this, though.

NJPW is Rhodes’ latest stop on his freelancing tour of the wrestling world. It will be his first time in wrestling for this major Japanese promotion, who has close ties with ROH. That could be why he turned heel at Final Battle, so he could set this alliance up with the Bullet Club.

This stable has fluctuated throughout 2016. They lost AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows to WWE, and have since added former WWE and TNA star Tanga “Camacho” Loa, former ROH World Champion Adam Cole, Captain New Japan, and Adam “Hangman” Page.

The debut of Cody Rhodes in NJPW should be coming soon. Any interest in him being with the Bullet Club?
