Andre the Giant would have turned 70 on May 19

There have been many larger-than-life legends in the world of professional wrestling. None, however, stack up to Andre the Giant.
Andre, real name Andre Rene Roussimoff, passed away at the age 46 on Jan. 27. 1993. The 7-foot-4, 450-pounder would have turned 70 on May 19.
In death, Andre's legacy is as large as it was during his remarkable, charming life.
In addition to dominating the wrestling ring, Andre had parts in several movies, most notably "The Princess Bride."
And his story is in the process of being turned into a biopic. Recent reports disclosed that Andre the Giant's life and times will become a film reality through Lion Forge Comics, which will interpret the biography, "Andre the Giant: Closer to Heaven."
Andre's daughter, Robin Christensen-Roussimoff will consult on the film.
