Connecticut's Maya Moore has won the Honda Sports Award for basketball.
Moore helped lead UConn, which has won an NCAA women's record 78 straight games, to a second consecutive undefeated season and NCAA title. She was selected the most outstanding player of the Final Four.
Moore, who averaged 18.9 points and 8.3 rebounds during the season, beat out Nebraska's Kelsey Griffin and Stanford's Nnemkadi Ogwumike.
The Honda Award is given annually to the top female athlete in each of 12 NCAA sports. The winner of the Honda-Broderick Cup as female athlete of the year will be selected in June.
