Connecticut women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma will receive the John R. Wooden Award's Legends of Coaching honor in April.

Wooden's daughter, Nan Muehlhausen, made the announcement Wednesday at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.

Auriemma, who will coach the U.S. women's team at next year's London Olympics, is the second women's coach to receive the honor. Tennessee's Pat Summitt did so in 2008. UConn men's coach Jim Calhoun was honored in 2005.

Auriemma has coached the Huskies to four undefeated seasons, including 39-0 marks that culminated in NCAA championships in 2009 and 2010.
