UConn cruises in exhibition finale 100-41

The top-ranked Connecticut women's basketball team concluded their preseason with a 100-41 win over Indiana University (Pa.) on Wednesday night.
The Huskies, who carry a 78-game winning streak into Sunday's opener against Holy Cross, had five players score double figures, including three of their five freshmen.
Forward Samarie Walker scored 22 points with 15 rebounds in just 18 minutes. Guard Bria Hartley added 18 points and seven assists in 32 minutes. Center Stefanie Dolson had 11 points and nine rebounds.
UConn led IUP 51-14 at the half, shooting 20 of 27 from the field. They made their first 11 shots and held the Crimson Hawks without a rebound for the first 9:39 of the game.
Senior Maya Moore, a preseason first-team All-American, added 15 points with five rebounds and six assists.
Sophomore guard Kelly Faris had eight points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the Huskies.
