UCLA forward Jasmine Dixon will miss the upcoming basketball season after rupturing her right Achilles' tendon during a team workout Monday.
A team spokesman says the senior will undergo surgery on Thursday.
Dixon was the team's second-leading scorer at 12.1 points a game. She led the Bruins in rebounding and steals last season and was an honorable mention AP All-American after helping the team go 28-5.
She also participated in the World University Games trials in May.
