No. 9 UCLA 81, East Carolina 67

Darxia Morris scored 16 points and Atonye Nyingifa added 15 to help No. 9 UCLA remain unbeaten with a 81-67 win over East Carolina on Monday night in the Rainbow Wahine Shootout.
Jasmine Dixon added 14 points and 10 rebounds while Markel Walker had 10 points and 10 boards for the Bruins (10-0).
''The second half we had a lot of defensive intensity and a lot of aggressive pressure on the ball with our defense,'' said Morris.
Kelly Smith led the Pirates (4-6) with 16 points.
The game was tied at 14 before UCLA took over, building a 17-point halftime lead.
The Bruins extended the margin to 62-38 with 12:05 left on Walker's layup before the Pirates rallied.
Allison Spivey's 3-pointer cut East Carolina's deficit to 70-62 with 3:30 left but that's as close as the Pirates would get.
