No. 8 Maryland beats Saint Joseph's 94-71

Lynetta Kizer scored a career-high 25 points, Alyssa Thomas added 21, and No. 8 Maryland remained unbeaten with a 94-71 victory over Saint Joseph's on Tuesday night.

Tianna Hawkins contributed 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Laura Mincy had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Terrapins (5-0), who have won all their games by double figures. Maryland led by 16 at halftime and cruised to the finish in defeating the Hawks for the 10th straight time.

Kizer, a 6-foot-4 senior center, was playing in her second game since returning from a suspension for violating team rules. Her previous career high was 23 points, in 2009 against North Carolina Central.

Erin Shields led Saint Joseph's (2-3) with 16 points, Ashley Prim had 15 and Katie Kuester 13. The Hawks committed only four turnovers but shot 35 percent from the field and were outrebounded 58-25.
