Iasia Hemingway had 22 points and 10 rebounds, Kayla Alexander added 20 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 24 Syracuse beat St. Francis, Pa., 94-60 on Tuesday.
Carmen Tyson-Thomas added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Syracuse (10-1). It marked the first time the Orange had three players register double-doubles in a game since 1989.
Samantha Leach had 17 points, Brittany Lilley 14 and Allison Daly 13 for the Red Flash (5-7), who were outrebounded 48-26.
Syracuse shot 70.6 percent (24 of 34) in the second half. Alexander came back from a sluggish start, scoring 15 points after the break.
Despite a sloppy start that included six turnovers in the first nine minutes, Erica Morrow keyed an 11-0 spurt that gave the Orange a double-digit lead. She finished with seven points and seven assists
After Leach drained a 3 from the right wing to move St. Francis within 9-7 at 15:19, Morrow responded with a 3 from the right corner, added a fast-break layup off a steal by Tyson-Thomas, and then set up Hemingway's layup to make it 16-7.
Rachel Coffey's 3 completed the run and gave Syracuse a 21-7 lead, and the Orange extended it to 29-9 on a pair of free throws by Shakeya Leary with 6:30 left.
Consecutive 3s by Sarah Thorn and Kelley Doogan keyed a 14-2 run by the Red Flash that cut the lead to 32-23 with three minutes left as Syracuse struggled under the basket. Alexander, the Orange's 6-foot-4 center, missed four straight putbacks on one possession and Syracuse went into halftime with a 36-25 lead.
The Orange began the second half with a 13-5 rush to take firm control and matched the school record for assists with 30 on 38 baskets. Guard Tasha Harris was the most unselfish of all with 10 assists and zero points.
