No. 24 Oklahoma women top rival OSU 61-43 in Big 12 tourney

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Vionise Pierre-Louis scored 16 points with a career-high 15 rebounds for her first double-double and No. 24 Oklahoma pulled away in the second half to defeat Oklahoma State 61-43 in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament on Saturday.
Derica Wyatt hit all five of her shots, including three 3-pointers, for 13 points. With four starters battling foul trouble Pierre-Louis and Wyatt gave the fifth-seeded Sooners, who play the Texas Tech-Baylor winner in the semifinals, a 34-7 advantage in bench points.
Oklahoma (21-9) led by four at the half but after the fourth-seeded Cowgirls (21-9) tied the game with a pair of free throws by Brittney Martin, Gioya Carter had five of her 11 points in a 10-0 run that put the Sooners up 36-26. The lead remained at 10 entering the fourth quarter.
Wyatt made all her 3s in the fourth quarter as Oklahoma pulled away.
Martin had 17 points for the Cowgirls, who shot 30 percent in the second half and had 27 total turnovers.
