Celeste Hoewisch scored 14 of her 20 points in the first half and No. 21 Wisconsin-Green Bay took a big lead early in cruising to an 84-25 victory over Youngstown State on Saturday.
Julie Wojta had 13 of her 17 in the first half as the Phoenix (22-1, 11-0 Horizon League) built a 26-0 lead and had a 49-8 halftime cushion in winning their 13th straight game. The eight points were the fewest in a half in Youngstown State history.
The Penguins started the game 0 for 13 with seven turnovers before Brandi Brown got them on the board on a 3-pointer with 8:07 left in the first half.
Brown, the Horizon League's leading scorer, had 15 points for Youngstown State (3-19, 1-10).
Lydia Bauer scored 12 points off the bench and Hannah Quilling added 10 for Wisconsin-Green Bay.
