Darxia Morris and Markel Walker scored 15 points apiece and No. 13 UCLA beat Temple 71-61 Sunday.
Rebekah Gardner had 14 points for the Bruins (5-0), while Walker added nine points and six assists.
Kristen McCarthy finished with 22 points on five 3-pointers for Temple (2-4) and BJ Williams had 12 points.
After Temple went ahead by five points midway through the second half, the Bruins answered with a 13-0 run, forcing four steals that led to points.
Jasmine Dixon made a layup and Morris then made a steal at midcourt and finished the uncontested layup to get UCLA within 52-51.
Walker split a pair of free throws, and an ensuing steal resulted in a putback by Dixon and a 54-52 lead with 8:35 remaining.
Two more steals led to baskets by Walker and Morris before Doreena Campbell made a layup to give the Bruins a 64-53 lead.
