Murray, Epps lead No. 20 Kentucky women past Morehead St.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) Taylor Murray had 18 points and eight rebounds, Makayla Epps added 18 points and nine assists and the No. 20 Kentucky women held Morehead State without a field goal for more than 15 minutes in the Wildcats' 74-47 win Wednesday night.

Maci Morris scored 14 points and Evelyn Akhator had 11 points and nine rebounds.

Kentucky (4-1) led by three at the end of the first quarter, but used a 25-7 run to open a 45-24 lead with 3 minutes left in the third.

Morehead State (3-2) scored two points in the second quarter, setting the school record for fewest points in a quarter. Miranda Crockett hit a jumper with 7:30 left in the half and the Eagles went scoreless for the next 8 minutes, 56 seconds and didn't make another field goal until a jumper by Brianna McQueen with 2:26 left in the third quarter.

The Eagles shot 23 percent (13 of 57) and were held to their fewest points since a 45-43 win over Jacksonville State on Feb. 17, 2014.

McQueen led Morehead State with 14 points on 4-of-17 shooting and was the only Eagles player with more than two field goals.
