Chris Vozab is the new women's basketball coach at Georgia Southern.

The school announced the hiring Tuesday night.

Vozab spent this past season as an assistant coach at Dayton, helping the Flyers win the Atlantic 10 conference tournament and a berth in the NCAAs. Before her season with the Flyers, she was an assistant at Winthrop for four years.

Vozab starred at Providence as a player from 1998-2002. She replaces Rusty Cram, who resigned March 5 after spending 16 years as the school's head coach.
