The Houston Cougars have hired Todd Buchanan to be their women's basketball coach.
Buchanan takes over for Joe Curl, who resigned last month because of heart problems.
Buchanan has coached at Houston Baptist for the past five years and spent the previous five seasons as an assistant at Houston.
