Arkansas women's basketball coach Tom Collen is hiring his wife as an assistant coach with the Razorbacks.
Tom Collen said Friday that Nicki Collen would fill the vacancy created when associate head coach Timothy Eatman took a similar job at Boston College.
Nicki Collen has worked as an assistant for her husband at two of his previous coaching stops, Colorado State and Louisville. It's been six years since she's been on his staff, as she stepped away from basketball for a time to focus on the couple's three young children.
Tom Collen says his wife's responsibilities will include developing the Razorbacks' guards and serving as Arkansas' defensive coordinator.
Nicki Collen also has worked as an assistant at Ball State and played professionally in Greece.
