Junior Dos Santos vs. Stefan Struve 2 headlines UFC's return to Halifax

It's been over seven years since Junior Dos Santos knocked out Stefan Struve in just 54 seconds when they met back in 2009.

Now Struve will look for a measure of revenge when he faces Dos Santos for a second time in the main event at UFC Fight Night in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on Feb. 19.

UFC officials announced the new main event on Wednesday.

Struve fell to Dos Santos in what was his UFC debut but now 17 fights later he'll finally get his chance to avenge that loss.

Most recently, Struve has picked up wins in his past two fights, including a stunning 16-second knockout over former title contender Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.

As for Dos Santos, the former heavyweight champion bounced back from a loss to Alistair Overeem with a dominant victory against Ben Rothwell this past April.

The Brazilian knockout artist was then put out of commission with injuries that kept him sidelined for most of 2016 but now he's ready to return early next year as he continues to target another championship run.

Ironically enough, Dos Santos and Struve are currently the only two fighters on the UFC roster to hold wins over current champion Stipe Miocic, so the winner of this matchup could be poised for title contention in 2017.
