The Latest: Women's final gets under way at Australia Open

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) The Latest on Saturday from the Australian Open (all times local):

7:30 p.m.

The Australian Open women's final between No. 1 Simona Halep and No. 2 Caroline Wozniacki has begun at Rod Laver Arena.

Both players are looking for their first Grand Slam title after coming up short twice before - Halep losing twice in the French Open final, Wozniacki twice at the U.S. Open.

The conditions were hot and humid when the match started with the temperature at 32 degrees Celsius (90 Fahrenheit).

Wozniacki won the toss and chose to serve.

Australian Open officials say South Korean car company Kia Motors has extended its partnership with the tournament for another five years.

Kia has been an Australian Open sponsor for 17 years.

American Sebastian Korda, son of 1998 Australian Open men's champion Petr Korda, won the boys singles title on Saturday, beating Tseng Chun Hsin of Taiwan 7-6 (5), 6-4 in the final on Rod Laver Arena.

Liang En Shuo became the first player from Taiwan to win the girls singles crown, beating France's Clara Burel 6-3, 6-4. It was the 18th consecutive singles victory for Liang.
