Tennis Australia chief executive Steve Wood is set to quit and will be replaced by Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley.

Tennis Australia said in a statement Thursday that Wood informed the board that he will leave the job he has held for eight years at the end of September ''to take a break.''

Tiley will initially maintain both his Australian Open tournament director position and the chief executive's job, a Tennis Australia spokeswoman said.
