Top-ranked Rafael Nadal beat Olivier Rochus 6-4, 6-2 on Sunday to turn Spain's domination over Belgium into a 4-1 win, one day after it qualified for the quarterfinals of the Davis Cup.

After Nadal's second victory of the weekend, Steve Darcis won Belgium's only point, beating Feliciano Lopez 6-7 (4), 7-6 (6), 7-6 (3).

Nadal's outing on Sunday gave him more practice ahead of next week's BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells when he will play his first ATP event since injuring his left thigh during the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.

Nadal helped Spain get off to a nice start on Friday, posting a straight-set win over Ruben Bemelmans. Both Rochus and Bemelmans are ranked outside the top 100.
