Gael Monfils should be fit to play for France against Argentina in the Davis Cup semifinals after being allowed to train normally.
The U.S. Open quarterfinalist twisted his left ankle on Monday, prompting fears he could be sidelined for the indoor hard-court series scheduled this weekend.
But France captain Guy Forget said he was reassured by Monfils after seeing him sliding as usual during Tuesday's training session.
The French team also includes Richard Gasquet, Michael Llodra and Gilles Simon. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Julien Benneteau are injured.

Arnaud Clement has been called up as a replacement but the experienced veteran is only expected to play in the doubles with Llodra.
