WTA CHINA OPEN Eurosport, 8am THE early 8-13 Stan James were quoting about David Ferrer reaching the final of the China Open with a victory over Ivan Ljubicic in Beijing this morning did not last long yesterday, writes Adrian Humphries.

And that's not surprising considering the way Ferrer dismantled Robin Soderling 6-2 6-4 yesterday.

Ljubicic upset Andy Murray 6-3 6-2 in the last eight but that saysmore about how the British No. 1 has lost his way this year than it does about the veteran Croat, who has already picked up a big title, the Indian Wells Masters, this season.
