Czech Republic tops US at World Cup

The Czech Republic closed out a 3-0 victory over the United States as Frantisek Cermak and Radek Stepanek defeated Andy Roddick and Ryan Harrison 7-6 (5), 5-7, 10-8 in the doubles at the Team World Cup on Wednesday.
Defending champion Germany and Argentina improved their records to 2-0.
Philipp Kohlschreiber sealed Germany's win over Croatia by beating Lovro Zovko 6-2, 7-6 (2). Germany also won the doubles to complete a 3-0 sweep in the Blue Group.
Argentina swept Japan 3-0 in the Red Group. Carlos Berlocq beat Japan's Go Soeda 6-3, 6-4 to secure the win and Argentina won the doubles.

Russia won the doubles to reduce its loss to Serbia to 2-1 in the Blue Group.
