CHINA OPEN Eurosport, 8am JOHN ISNER can continue his strong form this week by eliminating Nikolay Davydenko in today's China Open quarterfinals, writes Scott Samuels. The 6ft 10in American has looked back to somewhere near his best after a disappointing US Open where he exited in the thirdround against Mikhail Youzhny. Davydenko, on the other hand, has experienced a frustrating year following a broken wristsuffered in Rotterdam.

After a series of failures in recent months the Russian is likely to fail in his bid to play in the World Tour Finals for a second successive year.

Davydenko leads Isner 2-0 in their previous meetings, though it would be a mistake to read too much into this stat as they've not facedeach other for two years.

With Isner available at 11-8, the world No. 22 is worth a small bet.

Thailand Open champion Guillermo Garcia-Lopez takes on Viktor Troicki in Japan and the Spaniard has been in the form of his life, having won his last seven matches.

At 6-5 the value seems to have gone for Garcia-Lopez and although he will probably progress, he is best watched.

Another Japan match sees Nadal face Dimitry Tursunov. Unsurprisingly Nadal is no bigger than 1-20 to defeat the Russian.

Recommendation J Isner 1pt 11-8 Bet365, Ladbrokes
