PARIS (AP) Reigning French Open men's doubles champion Julien Benneteau is pulling out of this year's tournament because he has not fully recovered from a sports hernia.
The French tennis federation announced Benneteau's withdrawal from both singles and doubles Thursday, a day before the draw.
He has been bothered by the injury since March.
France's Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin teamed up to win their first Grand Slam title at Roland Garros in 2014.
