Zaragoza rewarded coach Manolo Jimenez for keeping the Spanish league club in the topflight division with a three-year contract on Tuesday.
Jimenez sparked an incredulous turnaround after replacing Mexican coach Javier Aguirre at the end of December with the club in last place. Zaragoza won five of its last six games to ensure safety on the final day of play.
The former Spain player also coached at Sevilla and AEK Athens, where he won the Greek Cup in 2011.
