With World Cup dream over, Germany looks ahead

Spain burst Germany's World Cup bubble, but the nation is already looking ahead to the next tournament in 2014.
After Joachim Loew's young German team lost the semifinal 1-0, the Berliner Kurier tabloid on Thursday lamented: ``The football god only understood Spanish.''
The mass-circulation Bild plastered its front page with a picture of devastated midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and the words: ``The dream is over!''
But it added: ``Chin up, boys! So we'll take the cup in four years.''
The daily Die Welt also looked ahead to Germany's fourth title, predicting on its front page: ``54, 74, 90 - 2014 ...''
Media Control, which measures television ratings, said German viewer figures for the match Wednesday averaged 31.1 million - a record for a World Cup game. Germany's population is 82 million.
