England midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to sign a new deal with Arsenal, tying himself to a Premier League club that has lost a host of key players in recent years.
Wilshere says ''I am talking to the club and I probably will be committing my future to the club in the next couple of weeks.''
Arsenal has lost Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and Alex Song - among others - over the past two summers, while Theo Walcott could leave in June after failing to agree a new contract with the club.
Arsene Wenger's team began this weekend in seventh place in the Premier League after a lackluster start to the season.
