Wigan remained bottom of the Premier League on Sunday despite rallying to draw 1-1 at Norwich.
Wes Hoolahan clipped in Simeon Jackson's cross to put the Canaries in front after 10 minutes at Carrow Road.
However, Wigan grew into the match and eventually scored a deserved equalizer through a well-taken finish by Victor Moses in the 68th.
Wigan almost snatched victory with four minutes left when Shaun Maloney broke down the left and crossed for Mohamed Diame, who put the ball over from six yards (meters).
Wigan goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi then produced a brilliant one-handed save to keep out Wales striker Steve Morison's goalbound header.
Both sides went for victory during five minutes of stoppage time, but had to be content with a share of the points.
''We want to win, but we need to know how,'' Wigan manager Roberto Martinez said. ''Forget about the table, we're going to take every game as a unique opportunity to show what we can do.''
Despite a recent dip in form, with successive league defeats, Norwich has impressed on its return to the top flight and could have climbed back up to eighth with a victory.
Norwich went in front with its first meaningful attack. Al Habsi skewed his clearance straight out of play, with Adam Drury taking a quick throw which sent Jackson clear into the left side of the penalty area.
The Canada forward floated a ball into the six-yard box, where Hoolahan snuck in between two defenders to hook the ball up into the far corner.
Wigan equalized when Maloney put through Moses, who held off the Norwich defense to round goalkeeper John Ruddy and slot home.
''We could have lost it at the end, so it is another point for us to be safe,'' Norwich manager Paul Lambert said. ''I have always thought that if you can't win it, don't lose it.''
Norwich is now 12th, 14 points ahead of the bottom three.
