Westley won't rise to accusations

Preston boss Graham Westley brushed off accusations of gamesmanship from MK Dons counterpart Karl Robinson after the 0-0 draw at Deepdale.

Robinson accused Westley and his coaching staff of trying to get Charlie MacDonald booked for diving after the Dons' appeals for a late penalty, after the striker was clipped by keeper Thorsten Stuckmann, were waved away.

"I don't care what their manager says. He's not important to me. What's important to me is my players and their performance," said Westley.

"What's important to me is the progress of Preston North End and what's important to me is us becoming a team that wins games on a consistent basis."

Preston had reason to feel aggrieved themselves earlier in the second half when it appeared Shaun Williams had used his arm to block a Stuart Beavon header in the box.

"I've half seen the penalty shouts over someone's shoulder and people have told me that they were and that they weren't," added Westley. "Decisions happen in every game and officials make them to best of their ability. They haven't given either one so neither of them was a penalty."
