WEST BROMWICH, England (AP) West Bromwich Albion has contracted former England defender Joleon Lescott for two years.
Lescott, who played the last of his 26 caps for England last year, joins West Brom as a free agent from July 1.
The 31-year-old Lescott ends a five-year spell at Manchester City, where he won two English Premier League titles.
He's the first signing by new coach Alan Irvine, who worked with Lescott at Everton, before he moved to City for 22 million pounds in 2009.
