Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger fears defender Thomas Vermaelen may
have broken his leg in Wednesday's 0-0 draw at Aston Villa.
The Belgium center back limped off during the first half of
the English Premier League match and left Villa Park on crutches.
Wenger says that "it is his fibula. Whether it is just a
nerve problem or the bone is broken is what we have to check on."
In another blow for Arsenal, Eduardo da Silva has a hamstring
strain that will rule the striker out of Sunday's match against
Manchester United.
