Leicester midfielder Richie Wellens made his comeback from a serious knee injury as the Foxes development squad beat Crewe 4-0.
Wellens, who last played in April, came on for the final 30 minutes of the match at the King Power Stadium on Monday night.
Defender Zak Whitbread also played a full 90 minutes as the summer signing from Norwich continues to build up his match fitness.
Jacob Blyth, Paul Gallagher and Matty James were on the scoresheet for Leicester before an own goal sealed a comfortable victory for the Under-21 side.
