Motherwell lost 1-0 to Flamurtari in the Europa League second qualifying round first leg after John Sutton saw his goal disallowed.
Sutton slotted home a penalty just before the hour mark but was ordered to retake it for apparent encroachment and saw his second attempt pushed past the post.
Motherwell had looked comfortable but Ermir Strati fired home from 20 yards in the 66th minute to give the Albanians a first-leg victory in the second qualifying round.
