Weidenfeller fills final highlight reel

That was one heck of a Champions League final. Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in a thriller at Wembley Stadium in London that was not short on highlights.

The best, though, may have belonged to Dortmund keeper Roman Weidenfeller, who made a host of delightful saves, including one off his mug. First came this gem on a Mario Mandzukic header in the first half:

Later came this stop with the dangerous Arjen Robben bearing down:

Near the end of the first half, Robben once again found himself point blank with Weidenfeller, and this time the keeper gave up his face:

Tied 1-1 late in the second half, it's Weidenfeller again on the highlight reel, this time getting beat and needing a miracle save from Neven Subotic to avoid disaster:

Turns out, Dortmund was living as dangerously as it looks. Robben eventually got the better of his nemesis, giving Bayern the winner in the 89th minute with this deft little touch with the left foot:

Nice goal, Arjen, but the score of the week belongs — as of course it should — to a cute kid doing cute soccer things:
