Watch Carli Lloyd unleash a perfect strike from 35 yards out

There have been some questions lately about what the U.S. women's national team should do with Carli Lloyd. Is she a No. 10 or a forward? Will she be able to perform in three years for the 2019 World Cup?
None of that matters when Lloyd scores goals like this:

That monster strike from 35 yards out took just about everyone by surprise, and it's the reason that coach Jill Ellis just kind of lets Lloyd roam wherever she whats and do whatever she wants. Glenn Davis, who was calling the game, exclaimed, "It's hit with no regard for humanity!" No, it sure wasn't, and that's exactly what makes Carli Lloyd the player she is.
Lloyd's goal was the equalizer after Switzerland got ahead early, so it was a valuable goal on those grounds. But the way she scored it? It will be on the highlight reels for quite a while. Yeah, the pitch looks pretty ugly with those American football lines, but that goal was pure beauty.
