Warnock wants Capello out

The QPR boss believes it is now time the national side had an English manager in charge after what will be four years under the management of the Italian after next summer's tournament in Poland and Ukraine. Warnock feels the Three Lions need somebody who can understand the humour after Capello was criticised by the media for not being able to communicate with his players properly. And Warnock told the Daily Star: "To be honest, I will be glad when Fabio Capello goes. "England needs an English boss, someone who understands our humour, someone who can take pressure off players, let them go and play with a smile, the way Shaun Wright-Phillips is doing for me at the moment." And when asked if he would want to be England manager before his retirement, he added: "Me? Half of the press would be against me and, perhaps, half of the managers. At least I would have the backing of 50 per cent, though! "I suppose I am a manager with a chip on my shoulder. I look back on last season when I took over a club in trouble, heading for relegation and won promotion without spending very much at all. "Yet I still didn't win Championship Manager of the Year. That went to Paul Lambert and he had been at his club for two years. "Once I could only sign players on my son's computer. Now I have money, although I haven't spent more than £10million and have bought the quality other clubs would love. That is my enjoyment and why I have asked my wife for a little longer before I get into my wheelchair."
