Suspended FIFA vice president Jack Warner has called on Caribbean football officials to continue backing Sepp Blatter in Wednesday's FIFA presidential election.

Warner wrote in a letter to Caribbean Football Union members that ''our history is tattooed with stories of struggle, but we have always risen.''

He told them to stick with the decision previously agreed by the CFU to back Blatter, who is seeking a fourth term.

Warner wrote: ''I wish to assure you nothing has changed - our mandate was set then and despite it all we must fulfill it.''

Warner, a long-time Blatter ally, is president of the regional body CONCACAF.

Warner was suspended on Sunday pending a full investigation into bribery allegations in Mohamed bin Hammam's campaign to replace Blatter. The Qatari former challenger was also suspended.
