Ward, who has played in defence, midfield and attack since arriving from Bohemians in January 2007, was previously contracted until 2013. "We're all delighted that Wardy has extended his contract," Mick McCarthy told the club's official website. "He has earned a new deal by the manner of his performances. "Since arriving from Bohemians, he has just got better and better and is a top professional who never stops working." Ward, 26, added: "I'm happy to have signed the new contract and am looking forward to helping Wolves move up the Premier League table."
