In a dramatic climax in Arnhem, Vitesse were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw as both goals arrived in the closing two minutes. Bony Wilfried's goal in the 88th minute appeared set to give Vitesse a win which would have taken them to within two points of table-toppers Ajax, but Jeffrey Gouweleeuw grabbed a last-minute equaliser for Heerenveen. Roda JC established a cushion to the bottom three after edging a seven-goal thriller against NAC Breda 4-3 at home. The hosts were two goals to the good inside the opening half hour after Sanharib Malki and Laurent Delorge scored before NAC pulled one back through Mer Bayram. However, Roda's two-goal advantage was restored on 36 minutes through Malki's second of the night, only for NAC to respond on 53 minutes via Nemanja Gudelj. Ruud Vormer scored Roda's fourth goal on 63 minutes and, though Alex Schalk scored for NAC with 10 minutes to go, the home side held on to claim the points. Utrecht remain in mid-table after enjoying a 3-0 home success over RKC Waalwijk, with Rodney Sneijder opening the scoring on 16 minutes. RKC had Geoffrey Castillion sent off before half-time and second-half goals from Johan Martensson and Jacob Mulenga sealed the win for Utrecht.
