Substitute Nicolas Cordova scored a second-half equalizer as Chile held France to a 1-1 draw in a friendly on Wednesday.

Marseille forward Loic Remy gave France the lead with a powerful diving header in the 20th minute after being set up by Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

But France wasted further chances to score a second goal, and Cordova punished Laurent Blanc's team when he curled the ball past goalkeeper Hugo Lloris from just inside the penalty area in the 76th.

Although France extended its unbeaten run to 11 matches, Blanc's side should have wrapped the game up before Cordova's goal with Benzema twice being foiled by Chile goalie Claudio Bravo.
