Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne has been banned from driving for six months for passing a ''No Entry'' sign to head the wrong way on a one-way road.

The Ireland international was stopped for the offense by police in September.

The 31-year-old Dunne was banned for the relatively minor offense because he had been penalized for other offenses.

Magistrates at a Birmingham court ordered Dunne to also pay a total of 408 pounds ($660) in fines and costs.
