Never drop your guard. That is something you normally hear in boxing or mixed martial arts, but apparently this now applies to soccer.

Carabobo FC striker Aquiles Ocanto must have forgotten that after his team's match against Aragua FC in the Venezuelan top division, he had a Mortal Kombat bout scheduled. His opponent? A fan.

While Ocanto was in the middle of a post-game interview with Meridiano Televisión, a fan opted for the element of surprise and attacked with a flying kick.

Ocanto down for the count! If you drop your guard, you will end up getting dropped. We know the shameless kick looked horrid, but not to worry, Ocanto escaped to fight another round.

Maybe the Venezuelan First Division League should take a page from the English Premier League's playbook, where last March, Premier League club Aston Villa were hit with $315,000 fine for pitch invasion. During the FA Cup quarterfinal match against West Bromwich Albion this past March, fans jumped into the pitch. Could you imagine the hefty fine Aston villa would have gotten if a fan had attempted a Mortal Kombat fatality on the pitch?
