Vasco da Gama missed the chance to return to the top of the Brazilian Campeonato table after being held to a 0-0 draw at Internacional.

Vasco lie a point behind leaders Atletico Mineiro following the draw.

Gremio saw their title hopes hit with a 2-1 defeat away to Coritiba.

Ayrton gave Coritiba the lead after 61 minutes but Luiz Andre Lima netted the equaliser three minutes later.

Leonardo scored a late winner to secure three points for Coritiba.

Botafogo beat bottom side Figueirense 1-0 in a match which saw both teams finish with 10 men.

Andrezinho got the only goal on the hour before Botafogo had Vitor Junior sent
off and the visitors saw Pablo dismissed.
