Van Persie to miss Netherlands games

Robin van Persie has pulled out of the Netherlands squad for the forthcoming friendly double-header against Japan and Colombia.
The Dutch medical staff took the decision to withdraw him after the Manchester United striker complained of groin and toe injuries.
Van Persie, who played 85 minutes and scored the game's only goal against his former side Arsenal on Sunday, will miss the games against Japan in Genk on Saturday and Colombia in Amsterdam three days later.
Coach Louis van Gaal, who also lost the services of Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie to a toe injury, has drafted in Norwich midfielder Leroy Fer and Davy Proepper of top-of-the-table Vitesse Arnhem as replacements.
Earlier in the week, Ajax captain Siem de Jong was added to the party after former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt called off through injury.
